A NEW DECANTER COMMISSIONED IN RUSSIA
Animal products are of great importance in adequate and balanced diet of societies. Livestock industry is growing day by day depending on population growth in the world. The biggest cost of this growing industry is feed products that are used in livestock raising.
In developed countries, 50% of live weight of the animal at slaughter to produce meat for human consumption remains as an animal side product. With development of industry, waste produced in slaughterhouses is converted into side products with addedvalue after reprocessing by considering environmental damage.
These side products that are not appropriate for human consumption are evaluated and converted into highprotein foods and oil products with high additives for animal feed. These facilities where side products are processed as such waste are called Rendering Facility in general. It was aimed to juice waste back to economy in rendering facilities, enable the society to access food products in reasonable prices and prevent environmental pollutions. Animal side products have been the source of main components in pet foods for decades. However, the relationship between animal side product and pet food industries has gained more strength recently especially due to changing market demands for product quality. With development of industrialization, pet food productions have brought quality standards similar to those applied in human foods.
According to this, important suppliers of important pet food components like industry of animal side products met these demands by changing raw material control and production practices and developing a wide variety of quality parameters.
